Blurry Vision tied to Wisdom Teeth
Some years ago, I had watery eyes for a few days. Didn't last long and I didn't have any problems with this again for years. In early July of this year, the watery eyes came back. Along with it, some "cold" formed on my nose and my face was swollen. This went away, but the watery eyes came back and got worse. My right eye began to be sensitive to lights and sunlight and I also experienced throbbing pain with my right eye. I made an appointment with my regular doctor. He prescribed an ointment and anti-biotic and told me to take Allegra and to see an eye doctor if not better in a couple of days.
I went to see an optometrist. He found some swelling in my right eye and prescribed Muro 128 2% solution drops as well as Tobramycin/Dexamethasone 0.3%/0.1% solution (which has a steroid). He eventually took me off the Tobramycin but kept me on the Muro 128, as he said the swelling had gone down considerably but that there was still some blurriness. This was on August 29.
In the meantime, I began digging around for what information I could find and came across an article where an eye infection could have been caused by teeth problems. Sure enough I made an appointment with a dentist. They cleaned and x-rayed and told me two of my wisdom teeth had to be removed as there was abcess and decay. Both the dentist and an oral surgeon agreed with me that the teeth infection could have caused the situation with my right eye.
My wisdom teeth were taken out Thursday of this past week (September 29). I have been prescribed a painkiller, plus Amoxocillin as an anti-biotic. The blurriness has still been there in the meantime, but not as severe, but now that my wisdom teeth have been extracted (two on the right side), the blurriness seems worse to me.
Is there anything better than Muro 128 2% out there? And is Amoxocillin a good antibiotic? I want my vision to get better, too - not just my teeth. Has anyone gone through something similar? I sure would appreciate any help, advice, etc.
