Recently I found out that my daughter is very far sighted and it is the reason why her eyes sometimes wander; she was prescribed +5.50 eyeglasses.

This is all new to me and I have many questions. I was wondering if anyone out there can provide some answers.

It has only been a few days that my daughter started wearing glasses, but I noticed that now when she doesn't wear her glasses her eyes cross much much more than they ever did before. As a matter of fact, her right eye rarely ever crossed before and now it does all the time when she doesn't have her glasses on. Is this normal? Are her glasses creating more harm than helping?

Will wearing glasses over time strengthen her eye muscles enough that the crossing will stop? Will her vision get better over time?

Will vision therapy help her condition improve or is it just a waste of time?
