can't see clearly at night

Had a new eye exam and purchased some new eyeglasses for work. They are scratch resisant, anti-glare and transitional lens. I'm a crane operator at night, so good distance vision is very important. When I wear the glasses in the daytime they are perfect. At night the clarity is not good. Could the lighting at work be the problem. Any ideas what the problem might be,
