    Hi Folks,

    A 39 year old and have been wearing glasses for a long time, but it was only a few years back I was told I have a lazy left eye, can i correct this by any surgery at this late age?

    he lazy eye is one and the lasik is the other. I would check if lasik would take with a lazy eye, because if the muscle of the eye movement is the problem for your lazy eye, it might take, but if other things have caused your lazy eye, it might cause more damage, please check with several eye specialist befor you do anything. hope u get well soon...

    Treatment for lazy eye involves glasses, drops, vision therapy and patching. Recent study have shown that lazy eye can be successfully treated up to the age of 17. After the age of 17 treatment of lazy eye is not dependent upon age but requires more effort including vision therapy. Improvements are still possible at any age with proper treatment.
