    Default Advantages of contact lenses

A recent study involving children age 8 to 17 shows that more than half of these children are interested in contact lenses, a third of whose parents are not reluctant to consider contacts for their kids. There are also 40% of children who dislike wearing noticeable eyeglasses. Parents’ concerns are associated with lens care. Eyeglasses are easier for daily care but contact lenses require more complex lens care. Those parents think that their kids are too young to take good care of contact lenses. In fact, there are other researches reporting that most children are capable of caring for soft contact lenses.

Actually, teens can benefit considerably from wearing contact lenses, according to a study by Optometry and Vision Science. Those children who have worn contacts for years get higher self-perception scores in items such as physical appearance, athletic competence, scholastic competence, social acceptance and overall self-worth. Some children who have make a switch to contact lenses also show more confidence in their academic tasks.

SynergEyes publishes its new contact lens design named ClearKone, which is particularly suitable for people with keratoconus. Keratoconus patients have thinning and bulging corneas, which may result in oval cones, highly advanced central cones, decentered cones and so on. ClearKone is designed to be centered over the visual axis of the eye and thus decrease vision-affecting keratoconus aberrations. ClearKone lenses are actually one type of hybrid lenses from SynergEyes.

Regular lens replacement is necessary to avoid a variety of eye infections. A study that evaluated 1,654 contact wearers of different brands points out that 59% of silicone hydrogel wearers extend the replacement schedule of two-week lenses and 15% of daily disposable wearers do not discard those lenses everyday. There are several reasons for this problem. While some people say they forget the exact day of lens replacement, some others just want to save money. These problematic ways can significantly increase the risk of eye infections.

Some reasons for me to remain optimistic now. Yesterday I was in a pensive mood to hear about the problems caused by these lenses. If scientific studies have made it clear these have its own advantages then it would also help my cause. Yes the maintenance may be somewhat complex but I am sure after some time I would get used to this like so many people around the world. Hope I can wear them hassle free till the time I require.

Physician who best knows in the eyes and lenses, and can prescribe the best lens, may be used. While buying a lens, people should always opt for the manufacturers of lenses from well known and also seek companies that offer a solution for contact lenses well.
