I'm really curious about custom look contacts. Was thinking about doing something fun for Halloween. Maybe some cat eyes or something. Anyone have any experience with this in terms of what they have tried and liked?

I was stabbed in my left eye at the age of 4, 1964. As a result I have had 1/4 of my iris removed, leaving an oval pupil, a lens cut in half, and a major cornial scar. I have since had cataract surgery with an implanted lens. Using pinhole I see 20/20, but due to the scar on my cornia I have severe astigmatism. I recently heard about contact lens implants, that go behind the lens. I am on disability, and have medicare/medical. I am searching for an opthomologist that would be interested in doing an implant cosmetic contact to give me a fixed round pupil, and a corneal transplant. With these procedures, I would gain almost perfect vision, my right eye would still dialate for night vision, and daytime vision would be near perfect. I would like to see the other half of the world as a normal visioned person would.

I just had my followup visit with the eye dr that did the cataract surgery, he says I have a secondary cataract that is forming in the area of the iris trauma, and that eventually It may form enough to give me a round pupil in essence, the lens is clear and stable at 20/20 farsighted, require 2.25 magnifiers for nearsight. If I could get the cornia repaired i will achieve good results without the implant. the astigmatism from the scar is in the 6.00 range

When you say that it is in the 6 range your mean -0600 or +0600 Do you know the axis? There are many brands of made to order lenses specific to your needs. You should check into the toric lenses
