Different materials used for sunglasses frames
1.Cellulose propionate resin: abbreviation is CP. CP material is not easy to be oxidized, decomposed, aged and combustion in the atmosphere. It is 2.characteristic of good plasticity with appropriate flexibility and toughness and liquidity, and it can be made in abundant colors, so the processing and coloring methods can be verified. It dissolves in solvent , so it should be avoided to contact with acetone, banana oil and other organic solvents.
Polycarbonate, abbreviation is PC. Its character is similar to PC lenses’. The specific gravity is 1.2. It's a kind of not combustion-supported, odorless and non-toxic resin. It meets with FDA requirements and U.S. drug administration.
3. Manganese-nickel has good mechanical strength and corrosion resistancemainly as they are made of manganese and nickel alloying elements.
4. TR -90 Materials (imported Swedish resin).
Its super toughness can prevent the frames from distortion or fracture and protect face from harming. And its resistance to deformation index was 620kg/cm2. TR-90 can effectively reduce the weight of sunglasses because it is 30% lighter than acetate, which really makes the wearing more comfortable. The last but not the least, it can withstand external shocks effectively, as two times as acetate.
5. Epoxy resin, abbreviation is EP plastic, also called memory plastic. It is of high strength, high hardness and good flexibility. It can be made into thin and light frames. Heat resistance is good, 30% lighter than ordinary plastic. It's used to be produced as superb frames, temples etc.
6. Titanium material: β titanium is formed during the heating process of titanium, when the temperature is over 860 degrees. As β titanium is much harder in structure than than titanium, the hardness is higher than titanium. And its price is as three times as titanium
7. Aluminum-magnesium alloy: Aluminum-magnesium alloy is used widely in mobile phones, laptop computers and other high-tech products filed for its lightness, environmental protection and durability.
