    Default Too heavy glasses

    Hi there,

I need some advice as I just don't know what to do anymore. First off I got new frames and prescription almost a month ago now after four years of the same ones. The prescription changed a lot and I always have problems getting use to the new prescription. This time around it's been especially hard.

Then new frames are larger than my current ones and my prescription is high and so require thick lenses but they are made in the lightest and thinest they can make them. Well they never told me that having a bigger frame and it's a heavier frame too would be uncomfortable. I have had a lot and continue to have a lot of problems. I have big red indents where the glasses sit. I have been back many times to have them adjusted. They are either too loose and slide down my nose, too tight and feel very heavy and sore ( currently they hurt on my nose and very uncomfortable). Also not the most comfortable at the back of my ears and they have been adjusted many times.

I am so frustrated and uncomfortable. Also getting use to the new prescription is very draining. After explaining my problems I am told ya it's because the frame are larger that i am uncomfortable. It makes me mad that they didn't tell me this when I was looking for frames as I took many a days to decide and going back to look. It was not an easy decision and they look but but I hate how they feel!!! So sore and heavy and bad headache.

The frame wasn't expensive it's the lenses that cost me a lot. Luckily I had some coverage through my husbands insurance but if I have to change glasses I won't have coverage to get new lenses in different frames. Considering just using my old frame which is very disappointing as I would love a change but I can't keep buying new glasses

Anyways if anyone has any thoughts on this or advice I would really appreciate it or anyone that has dealt with this. I have been wearing glasses for over 15 years and never had this problem before.

Thanks for reading as I think my family is tired of hearing me complain about my glasses but it's hard not to when I feel so horrible but I have to wear glasses all the time and so need to be comfortable which I am not and it's made me sad and depressed to say the least!

    Thanks!

Default How to choose a right eyeglasses?

Spectacles and spectacle frames need to face the choice and personal preferences to decide!
