Cool Best Care for Eye Glasses !! - 10-27-2009, 04:07 AM

Most of us, and Myself included, have Used just about everything
to clean & maintain our Glasses.
From paper towels, good old toilet paper on the run, and I saw a guy using news
paper a while back.
As many Doctors & stores can sell, or provide a Lens cloth, some quite good,
and others subpar.

In our Studies and Observation we would suggest a Real good Microfiber
Towel.

Thanks for taking time to read this, Any other input is always great !!

Yes Microfiber Towel is appropriate for cleaning the glasses either they are zero glasses , designer sunglasses or any other..It is also suggested by eye glasses specialists. So one should always go with it.

The most perfect microfiber cleaning cloth is useless if there is any grit on the lens at all. Besides keeping the cloth clean, you have to get any grit off the lens BEFORE using the cloth. That is why you want to wash them under running water with soap, to get any particles off without hard rubbing.

Microfiber cloths must be clean. They can be run through the washing machine normally but I have been told that if you must NEVER use one of those anti-static dryer sheets (or their non-sheet equivalents.)

say the best choice is lens cloth, and just use water to wash your len and don't use washing powder. or send it to the store for wash.

It is a good practice to clean your lenses daily with the cleaning cloth that comes along with the glasses it is not necessary to clean it with a micro-fiber cleaning cloth as these cloth are not supplied by all vendors. If you can you may catch hold of a cleaning solution for the lenses and spray it once before cleaning the lenses.

Once or twice in a week you can clean the lenses with water so that the oil and other residue can be removed. You can just wash the lenses under running water and then gently apply a drop of mild hand wash on the lenses with your figures in a circular motion. Once again wash the glasses under water to wash off the soap. Pat dry the glasses do not wipe the lenses when it is wet. Once the water dries up use the cleaning cloth to with the lenses.
