Default RGP Dot wore off - 02-08-2010, 12:06 AM

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Just received a new pair of RGP's. Had them 3 days and the right lense dot is almost completely worn off. Off hand, I don't know what specific brand these are (did not ask yet), but in 2007 I bought a pair of Boston's that did the same thing in a little over 30 days.

I have worn contact lenses since 1972, including RGP's, and until these last two pairs have never had this problem. My optomitrist tells me this is common these days. What the ??? is up with this?

Are lense makers so cheap these days they can't even make a lense with a dot that is embedded in the polymer?

Has anyone here experienced the same problem?

Has anyone here received RGP's in the last year in which the dot has not worn off? If so, what brand are you using?
